Just your typical Friday night...

Okay, as if you didn't get enough of this in my last post.  Last Friday night the hubby went out with a friend and so (since I was going out the next night for a Bachelorette Party) I stayed in and found other ways to amuse myself.  Just your typical Friday night, ha ha.

My First Project Of The Evening:
So, please forgive the awful lighting in our kitchen.  This is our wasted space!  I'm not one to put decorations up there, atleast not in an apartment when you need the space for some kind of storage.

As you can see, we have some stuff that just simply WON'T fit into any cabinet.

We have to have something on top of the fridge to keep the frickin' cat from getting up top.  She used to constantly jump up there and get her hair all over EVERYTHING!  As if her hair isn't already everywhere else in the apartment, she has to get it on top of kitchen stuff?!

So remember how I said that our closet used to have shelves up top on both sides and we recently replaced the ones on my side with the IKEA shoe boxes?  Well we had been trying to find a place to use the shelves, knowing that something would come up if we got rid of them.  While up late one night in one of my insomniac episodes (like right now!), I thought this up.

I surprised Trey when he got home from his "Guy's Night".
Even freed up some counter space by putting our mixer and my cupcake boxes up there.

And here, he thought all I was going to be doing was some crafting...ha ha.

On To My Next And Final Project For The Night:
The entry way into our laundry room, area...whatever you want to call it.  I somehow used to think that this looked good, please forgive me.  I swear it used to hang better and looked so pretty.  ( I guess that's just what I have to tell myself. )

I decided to get some clip rings and sew some curtains that would bring in something new and fresh.

This is what I came up with.  Now immediately after putting them up and re-examining them I decided that they needed a little something.  So, I'm planning on adding some purple fabric to the bottom of each curtain.  We recently added a rug in the kitchen in front of the sink and it is purple so I can't wait to add some more.  I'm so grateful that I married a man who isn't afraid of color!

Anyways, as soon as I add the bottoms I will post a picture!  As for now, I'm heading for bed.  I'm super tired!
